  Second segment of the antennae inserted rather asymmetrically on the first segment [Abb.1]. A single species in the Western Mediterranean; further species in North Africa.

#1 Pronotum with a deeply indented furrow each side towards the base which connects the basal border with the furrow running along the side; the base between these furrows is not bordered [Abb.2]. Upper surface with a blue sheen; antennae and legs red. Elytra with complete, deeply incised striae. Disc of the pronotum smooth, with punctures towards the base. 5-6 mm. Aedeagus [Abb.3]. Southwestern Europe - the west of the Mediterranean Basin round to the Atlantic coast. On riverbanks and other damp habitats.
